Yong Fu Shan - Tianjin

I came across this restaurant on Baidu Maps and decided to give it a try despite the lack of information. The entrance was hidden in a somewhat dirty corridor, but once inside, the decor was elegant and beautiful. There was even someone playing the Chinese zither. The menu had English translations and marked dishes that contained ice cream and milk products. We tried lotus root balls, sautéed konjac, lens capsules, and seevelvet (a colorful vegetable dish). Some dishes were a bit too salty, but overall the flavors and textures were excellent. The staff was very friendly and took the time to engage with us. While the prices may be high for locals, they were reasonable for us when converted to USD.
