Hayes has typically offered a solid 4-star experience, but recently some menu items have declined in quality. The new gravy, in particular, is disappointing—I couldn’t even bring myself to use a small amount on my food. Aside from that, everything else remains good. I hope to see improvements to the gravy in the future. View all feedback.
Went for evening dinner, the food and service was excellent, couldn't fault the food ,it was so good, big portions and good value, well done to all involved, will definitely be back

I recently visited a restaurant in Thurles on Saint Patrick’s Day, following a local recommendation. Despite the anticipation, the experience didn't quite meet expectations. The initial welcome was lacking, with confusion surrounding our order, leading to a chaotic start. However, after some adjustments, the service improved. We opted for the chicken and bacon salad, along with salmon and prawns fish cakes, both of which were enjoyable but could have benefited from extra dressings. The crispy loaded fries stole the show, impressing with their delicious skin. As for the mains, the chicken Kiev lacked sufficient breading, and the chicken curry was overly sweet, resembling more of a chicken sambar. The Oreo cheesecake was a delightful conclusion to the meal, although the Black Forest baked Alaska was too sweet due to the inclusion of raisins. Overall, while the experience had its ups and downs, there's room for improvement in both service and flavor balance.
Old but nice hotel. Rooms are clean. Food is very good. Breakfast is from menu and very good. Dinner is also amazing.
