Hayes - Thurles

Hayes hotel has usually been a 4 star experience until recently some of the food options have too a toll the new gravy they have is really not that good I can’t even put a tiny bit on my food the rest of it is good though would like to see the gravy improve

Lovely staff.We were very well looked after from the time we stepped inside the door till we left.As well as waitresses there was a floor manager who was really on d ball.Hope I'm not doing him a disservice calling him floor manager.My wife and grandson were with me and we were all delighted with the food we got.I had two smashin pints of Guinness.Would recommend it highly.Just told my brother tonight about how good Hayes Hotel was for us.10 out of 10 all day.

I stayed for 2 nights b b. The hotel is warm inviting right in the centre of the town, close to all amenities. Beautifully decorated Lobby for Christmas. Efficient check in and friend staff. My room was perfect, comfortable, relaxing decor. Breakfast each morning was delicious. The service staff were professional, friendly helpful. The hotel was spotless. Very well run. I would definitely stay again. Homely atmosphere.

Rooms were overpriced for a so called Deluxe suite. Bathroom shower had mould on it. Bedroom window was old and did not shut properly. The bathroom was so small I had to enter then close the door back in order to get into the shower. There was however a generous supy of towels and soaps. That being said, room was quiet although near nightclub side and it was warm. The room itself and bed linen were spotless and bed turned down. In the bar the staff were friendly although rushed off their feet. It took some time before our food arrived. I had the breakfast the following morning and it was more than adequate with large portions and plenty of toast and tea. The staff worked hard but again it took a good length before food served. Parking was at the rear and free to residents. Spaces were limited and narrow in places so I had to be careful where I parked. Access was via a barrier so my car was secure. It was easy to find and to exit. Overall a good experience but for the price it over promised and under delivered. Breakfast was included in the package I booked. I don't think I would stay here again though based purely on the price.
