Kinross Woolshed - THURGOONA
Kinross Woolshed
Description
The reviews for this restaurant are quite mixed. Some customers were disappointed with the overcooked meals, limited menu options, and long wait times. Others found it to be a great venue for events, with reasonable prices and a lively atmosphere. While the food quality may vary, many patrons appreciated the traditional pub fare and overall experience at this establishment. It seems like this restaurant may be best suited for large groups or special occasions, where the atmosphere and value can shine.

Spent $135 on 5 meals. Both steaks were meant to be cooked medium, both were well done, grilled chicken overcooked, no vegies or potato available, receipt not available due to machine not working. Meals over priced, not a great way to celebrate my sons birthday.
Absolutely delighted by this place! Went on Tuesday for the $10 steak nightHad a delicious rump steak with Tasty steamed veggies.
We thought we would try one more time to see if things had improved. Unfortunately we will not be back. They could not get anything right. Firstly we ordered a humble garlic loaf to share. After having one and a half pieces off the end it was evident that the garlic butter was still solid through the rest of the loaf so we took it back to the kitchen as we waited for wait staff but no-one came to our table. Next our meals, well we ordered 2 steak dishes rare that came out well done. Mine was so tuff that I couldn't eat it, nor did I want to at that point. On ordering the staff said the steak knives would come out with the meals, sure enough I had to go into the kitchen to get steak knives. My daughter said her spaghetti bolognese tasted funny and she only had 2 mouthfuls. She always scrapes the plate clean with any spaghetti bolognese! After we finished what dinner we actually ate the same garlic loaf was returned to our table with the partly eaten pieces still intact. We were highly unimpressed. I would have said something on the night but no-one came to clear the plates nor did anyone ask how our meals were. Anything we needed we had to walk into the kitchen and get it ourselves. The combination of terrible food and untrained staff is very disappointing. I have tried to dine at The Kinross about half a dozen times now but am yet to experience anything worth eating and the staff have no clue either.
Giving the Kinross a 4 star rating on the basis of the environment they foster here The food is good, not cheap, though not unreasonable.
