Enjoyed a lovely lunch here with a group of friends. The quiche was a little bit different with a topping which reminded me of Yorkshire pudding. Very delicious, not overly filling. Salad was fresh and tasty. All the dishes served looked out of the ordinary. Must go back again to try some of the others. The chocolate lava cake was superb. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Thyme Fine Dining:
We really enjoyed the atmosphere, however the food was not as good as the ambiance. The quiche is pleasingly served but very watery. My companion said the vichyssoise was excellent but his croissant sandwich was not crispy. The wait time is long but we still enjoyed the opportunity to have an intimate visit. Supposedly a gourmet meringue cookie is their signature brought with your bill but we didn't get one so we can... View all feedback.
Thyme is now a perogies for your main course. We had perogies, Caesar salad , chicken wings and beers. No one complained and no one walked out hungry. I believe the kitchen is ran by others . It is not gluten free /dairy free
This restaurant moved to the north side last year and seems a big secret. Had breakfast recently. Still very excellent. Eggs Benedict. We were only ones. Deserves more traffic.
While Trip Advisor shows it closed, Thyme did reopen in January. I have been several times for their Eggs Benedict breakfast or lunch. Still excellent. Open til 2.
We just visited Thyme Fine Dining at their new location on Cumberland Ave. We were greeted by our chef. Both husband and wife are Red Seal Chefs who love what they do. We were both delighted with the decor and comfortable and cozy setting. Dinnerware was china and very pleasantly appealing seating arrangement. I ordered smoked salmon, feta and dill crepes. David ordered turkey club on marble rye. The detail in presentation was extraordinary. My lunch came with a bowl of fresh blackberries, strawberries and wonderful whipped cream. The salmon was freshly smoked in house. Davids sandwich was loaded with roasted turkey, bacon and crisp lettuce. Both lunches were accompanied with mushroom shaped roasted potatoes lightly seasoned. Delectible!!! Our chef served us and as we spoke you could see the passion she has for food. It is nice to see a husband and wife team who both care about their work, patrons and quality of foods they serve. All in all, Thyme is now our top pick to dine in Thunder Bay. Congratulations and many years ahead of serving beautiful meals.
