Pizza Pizza - Thunder Bay

The place doesn't look like much from the outside or the insideI have eaten here several times and it's the food that keeps me coming back.

This is THE place we go when we visit. The Panzerotti is sooooo yummy! Really big portions and we always leave happy.

A great pizza placeComing from Miami, FL, it was nice to find a decent pizza restaurant while we are on vacation.

I used to be a regular here but moved away a few years ago. I was in town for the holidays and decided to grab a slice of what at one time was my most favorite pizza joint. I was there just before 5 pm expecting the pizza display to be well stocked for the dinner rush. There was only 4 varieties to choose from but I was told some fresh pepperoni was coming out. I waited for the pizza to come out and noted the appearance look no different then the old stuff on display. The cheese has a lumpy appearance and looked like it came from a fridge, not an oven. I decided to give it a try and he put the fresh slice in the front warming oven for a couple minutes. It came out looking pretty much like it did going in. I sat down at a table a took a bite. I had to fight the urge to spit it out. The crust was horrible. It had a taste and texture like cardboard. Zero flavor. Even worse were the toppings. This turned out to be the most disgusting pizza I have had in years. The only comparison I have is a cheap non brand frozen pizza you hear in the oven. If you find those pizzas tasty, then you won't mind the **** they now serve here. I am almost certain that the sauce is being watered down or cans of unsalted crushed tomatoes are being added to it to cut costs. Also, the cheese is definitely not a real dairy product. It doesn't have the flavor, texture, or melt of real mozzerella. The pepperoni didn't even crisp up. The looked and tasted like thin slices of greasy rubber. I couldn't get more than 2 small bites in me. I ended up tossing the slice into the garbage and going down the street to a place I could eat real food. My husband had a slice of Canadian. He was extremely unhappy with his and his review is comparable to mine. This visit has completely turned me off this franchise.

Went in on a Friday and new staff took our order asked if they had thin crust .yes he told us .we waited 20 minutes like he said it maybe .took pizza to car and opened it .smelled amazing .but wrong crust very thick , my hubby is not a fan of thick crust .me I like it , went back in and told staff and he was more than willing to make us new one .very friendly .but I just wanted to go home .there new to our city and felt they needed to know .its rough market out there .but will go back great pizza and a lot of choices to allow for whole family
