Absolutely the best soup and cheese buns ever! The pizza with hot peppers is fantastic too. Perogies melt in your mouth. Unfortunately, they are only making them for special occasions now. All this delicious food and no getting sick after! Heavenly! View all feedback.
A great little bakery specializing in gluten free products, Very courteous and skilled staff. Also at Sat's Country Market.,
They have great bread, pizza, cakes, etc .You don't have to be allergic to gluten to eat their delicious food.
Driving through Thunder Bay looking for a quick gluten free lunch. This place was on our way. They have delicious soft chewy cheese buns, pizza, cookies and the like. All prepared in a gluten free facility. We didn't order ahead, so it took about twenty minutes to prepare our pizza. Totally reasonable. They also have by-the-slice at lunch. A solid option for a gluten free meal and bread products.
I have been a customer for a couple of years. Although not Celiac I do suffer with severe gluten intolerance problems. When I was told about Pear tree bakery I decided to check them out. They offer a range of locally made products including breads, pizzas, cookies and baking. Also they have some gluten free products on their shelves such as flours, etc...Pizza is very good...I usually buy the dough or frozen crust and top with my favourite toppings. My favourite item has to be the lemon tarts...I could eat a whole tray in one sitting if I didn't monitor ;)
The fresh AND frozen pizza here is the best gluten-free pizza I have ever tried. Where EVERY other place is thin and dense or too sweet with cornmeal, the Peartree pizza crust is crispy and flaky! A must-try. Even the pizza dough you can bring home is good! Other treats I enjoy are the cinnamon buns with delicious cream cheese frosting and the chocolate chip cookies! My one and only complaint was the frozen cake that I purchased a year ago. It was quite dry and crumbly but I blame that on it being frozen. I feel that most GF baking tends to dry out quickly after a day or so or if has been frozen (apart from the pizza). Not sure if they even do the cakes anymore. But everything else that I have tried is delish!
