McDonald's - Thunder Bay

Great service. great place to be with kids on weekends. great crew roaming around in lobby to take care of the kids.

I called mcdonald 's on memerial after Feb 17th as the restaurant restrictions has been lifted. I cant remember what day it was. I called to ask if the play place was open and after repeating myself 3x because the employee kept interrupting the employee says yes. I even repeated myself the 4th time to make sure they heard me correctly and I said Are you sure play place is opened for the kids? I 'm only going to eat there because of the play place. And the employee assured me that I heard right and says yes again. When I got there I ordered for my kids, wife and I. After ordering I noticed the play place was closed. An employee told its not yet open. Thx a lot McDonalds. Way to disappoint my kids. Maybe teach your employees some listening skills. And also FYI stop ripping me of on French fries. We ordered large fries with out meal.... not medium fries in a large carton. We all know you squeeze the cartons when you 're putting the fries in to make it look full. Your drive thru is also super slow. You guys should rebrand to Slow-Food Chain.

I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I went through the drive-thru and placed my order, but was told to park in space 2 and wait for my order to be brought out to me. However, all the numbered spaces and no parking areas were full of cars, so I had to park beside one of the numbered spaces. Despite watching many cars after me receive their food and leave, I waited for over 10 minutes without receiving my order. Eventually, I went inside and the manager asked me multiple times what I had ordered. It only took 2 minutes to get my order once he went back the third time. This was very disappointing for my grandkids who were eagerly waiting for their Happy Meals.

Went to grab $1.00 ice creams for my four kids at McDonalds Memorial Ave drive thru. Asked for 5 including myself, they replied by saying we can not do that, we have a 4 ice cream policy for drive thru. You need to come in if you want more then 4. I said I have my four kids which are 3,6,9,11 not going to run in as we were going to an event. Also ,Not going to bring them all in or definitely not going to leave them in vehicle as it is extremely hot outside. She said Sorry nothing we can do. There was not one person in the line up or window. Absolutely brutal. Terrible service

As for the food, it was the usual McDonald's fare that you would expect. The table I sat at was exceptionally clean, which is not always the case when I eat at McDonald's. After finishing my meal, an employee who was mopping nearby kindly took my tray and garbage, telling me to have a nice day. I don't typically write restaurant reviews, but the exceptional service I received today compelled me to do so. The staff at this McDonald's location are truly deserving of recognition for their excellent job. Keep up the great work!
