Beaux Daddy's Grillhouse - Thunder Bay

So i finally went to beaux daddy's! appetizers: deep fried thunder oak cheese bites

We've had mixed experiences here in the past and although it's been up and down, we came here to eat after a long and very tiring day. To be fair, it was 1/2 hour before close and the menu was limited because of that so in a sense I guess that's good since I know that what I'm eating will not be a reheat again the next day! The server was very pleasant and we discovered that she went to school with our youngest son. The food was a fair portion and warm on this visit so that's a plus. I will always be skeptical about this place as we've tried on 4 separate occasions and it's been 50/50 but in a pinch when wanting more than a burger or fries, this is a good sit down dining experience if the timing and staff are the more reliable ones.

I've been working my way through the menu after 4 visits. All good. Chef J. McKenzie always has a moment to talk about the food. He explained his farm to table method of developing the menu. Staff are friendly and efficient.

My girlfriend and I just got home from one of the most amazing meals we had the pleasure of enjoying! I had the jambalaya with rice and asked for extra heat! My girl ordered the blackened salmon with asparagus. She is a cook with 25 years experience and was blown away with the quality of the food and service, as was I. The jambalaya was absolutely incredible and the spice was perfect! Truly one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. She even wanted to talk to the chef and tell him how incredible the meal was. but he was busy lol. This is now our favourite place to dine in Thunder Bay! I don't think we will find anything close to beaux daddy's quality. and the service was phenomenal! Thank you for a GREAT night of dining. we will be back- a lot!

We went there with friends and had a decent meal. There was really nothing spectacular about it. The food was good, good service but nothing really outstanding.
