Authentic Volare Pizza - Thunder Bay

Had an awesome dinner. Ordered the chimichanga and the poutine. The chimichanga alone would have been enough. Great food. Great service. Cool atmosphere. Definitely coming back. Highly recommended.

Tried going to the Crew for lunch with a friend of mine. After taking a few bites, the first words out of my mouth were "This is the best lunch I've eaten in my life." I've never said that before. Another friend told me I had to try the Pulled pork poutine. Amazing! Lots and lots of pulled pork, lots of fresh cheese curds and amazing gravy. The pork was to die for. It had just a bit of fat left on some of the peace's to make it amazingly tasty. It even had parts that were a bit crispy like crackle. Most of it was moist and juicy. I'm not sure if it's always this good but for me at the time, it was exactly what I was in the mood for and was truly the best tasting lunch I've every had (don't tell my wife that.) The portion size was immense and was able to finish it all. If you like poutine and pulled port, I would definitely order this :)

Great food, staff, ambience, and the chef, Derek even came out to check on the patrons. I had the Bannock burger and it was amazing. Who would have thought of blueberry and onion chutney with home smoked bacon on a burger. Well I was blown away. My wife had a pizza. Braised rabbit, feta and a sprinkle of mint with a hint of savory spice. She thought it was lovely. Again, who would have conceived such a blend of flavor on a pizza? Chef Derek Lankinen is responsible. I look forward to further dining with the Crew and sampling more of their offerings.

We have wanted to try this restaurant since it opened so a group of us went for a late supper. There aren't a huge amount of tables so we had to wait for one to be cleared which was no problem. There only seemed to be one waitress working though and she was running and busy the whole time. It was a long wait to get drinks but once we ordered, the service was good. Everything we ordered tasted great and portion sizes were ample, with reasonable prices. The menu and decor have a distinctive northwestern flair that we all found enjoyable. I would recommend this for sure and will be back to try something new.

We came here for the Cesar they featured in a local magazine and it was far from the picture advertised. The drink it self was good but the garnishes were barely what was featured in the magazine.The food was good and they were very accommodating to my family with young children but it also helped that it was not that busy. I had the specialty burger and the homemade bun was amazing.Food and service make me give it a 4 out of five. Go here for good food but don't expect the Cesar featured in the local magazine.
