Nice from the out... read more Could be much better if managed correctly. Originally a beautiful lakeside estate now a building in a public park. Crowds until late included. Nice from the outside and at first inside too. The whole hotel is completely understaffed and savings going to the expense...of guests. This sadly included stained upholstery and dirty floors with a strong smell of drain in the room. Some common areas have beautiful lake view but are badly furnished. A classic that seems more than it is. Better value at higher level is nearby.

Very nice experience at the castle of schadau, the staff is very competent, and very kind. bravo for French spoken impeccablely. the place enjoys a terrace with... read more Very nice experience at the castle of schadau, the staff is very competent, and very kind. bravo for French spoken impeccablely. the place enjoys a terrace with views of the eiger, the mönsch and the jungfrau, beautiful view of the Bernese Alps. the castle park is also very well maintained and ready to relax. food is of very high quality and served with great professionalism. an excellent experience to live or to relive. ps: we are not at all of the bourgeoisie and we have never felt any problem about it, just a minimum of knowing how to live when we are in this kind of place:-)

The attention was perfect from the moment we entered until we left. The food of the restaurant...was really good. We took the degustation menu and everything was delicious. The castle itself as well as the room is just beautiful. I really recommend this place and I hope we will be able to go back soon!

It was one of the best meals of our trip. The location is terrific, the service is exceptional, and...the food was exquisite.
