Chef Lori prepares farm-to-table meals using high-quality, seasonal ingredients. The staff is exceptional; Shari, the Innkeeper, will ensure you have everything you need for a wonderful stay. Chef Lori treats her guests like royalty, catering to all your dietary preferences and allergies. I planned a special trip for my husband's birthday, and Shari and Lori truly delivered. We were upgraded to the Raj Suite, which features its own steam room (our favorite!), a soaking tub, and stunning views of the river and mountains. We arranged for all our meals to be prepared by Lori, and she exceeded our expectations! I anticipated tasty food, but what we experienced was unforgettable and truly mouthwatering; I can’t wait for my next meal there. If you want a magical day like we had during our stay, here’s what it looked like: We started the morning with a yoga and meditation session led by Shari, which was incredibly refreshing and relaxing. This was followed by a delicious breakfast made by Chef Lori, who also packed picnic lunches and snacks for our trip to Sequoia National Park (so good!). After some hiking and visiting the General Sherman Tree, we returned home to unwind in our steam room before dinner. Dinner time brought another amazing meal from Chef Lori, which included our first two courses enjoyed before our massage. We had massages by the fireplace in the living room, followed by our entree and dessert, before settling in for the night. This place is seriously fantastic — you absolutely need to check it out!

When we arrived, we found an empty house with no one to greet us or check us in. After numerous calls to all available numbers and waiting at least 45 minutes, we finally received a call back indicating someone would meet us. However, the person who arrived — two hours later — seemed to know very little about the place and its amenities. He used a key to open various occupied rooms in an attempt to find ours. Eventually, he located an empty room and declared it ours, but he couldn't provide any additional information. Thankfully, I stumbled upon the Wi-Fi password in an office; otherwise, we would have been out of luck. The next morning, there was still no one around to prepare breakfast, so we headed to the park. Once again, there was no one available in the evening. To sum it up, this is essentially a bed and breakfast. The beds are clean, but breakfast is served at 9 AM, which means you can't expect to eat and start your day early at the parks (which I recommend if you want to avoid crowds). The previous reviews and the website are very misleading, and I left feeling quite disappointed.
