My one qualm is that there are often upwards of 2 popular dishes unavailable; i.e. borcht or certain desserts.

It seems to be a place for regulars to gather in large groups. The food is quite tasty, but the service is nasty. Definitely don't go for the service.

The food was great and brought back a lot of "belly memories"... the chicken soup, the latkes, the chopped liver... followed by varenikes, fish and chicken with rice.Altogether, a fantastic experience and a place to revisit next time with family and friends.(Did I say the music was great too?)

Quite good and yummy food, ordinary service. What makes this place great is the ambiance: fireplace, murals, curtains etc. Before we went to the restaurant I browsed it online and figured that they have separate Kid's menu, however in reality it comes mixed up in the main menu. My suggestion to the owners - make a separate kid's menu. This would work for couples with kids.
