this is the best place in all southern ontario for sushi. the quality, the personal, the prices, all factors come together to eat this to my favourite place. If they're not here yet, they'll make a point. wonderful place! View all feedback.
What Emmett Kilback doesn't like about Sushi Wa:
from there to dinner. the meal was ready as suggested by timing on skipthedishes. that said I had much better sushi in North York for equivalent price. Although the salmon was excellent, I found the rest, especially when combined with rice to be in the average. they advertised a special roll to contain certain ingredients, and it was slightly different. the taste of this special roll was still good. My boyfriend and I go to Sushi Wa whenever we need to grab some late dinner. The owner and the staff are very friendly. The food is consistently great and they provide delicious samples of sushi and occasionally dessert : The hospitality is simply amazing....A must try for any sushi lover!
Very much enjoyed our dinner.. Sushi Wa is a cozy little restaurant owed and operated by the chef Joseph.. sushi is yummy, presentation is great and service is amazing.. will be coming back for more very soon. Thank you.
This was my first time trying Skip the Dishes and I wasn't sure what to expect, but I am so happy I decided to order from them! The food was all delicious and fresh, exactly how sushi should be served. I highly recommend trying them out, especially considering their reasonable prices.
I ordered takeout from this restaurant and found that the food was not hot, even though I waited for it to be ready. The portions were small, including the soup, salad with not enough dressing, and the main dish. However, the taste of the food was decent.
We don't dine out often, but when we do, we expect more than just an average experience. Based on reviews, we decided to try Sushi Wa, which is a bit further than our usual sushi spots. There was plenty of parking and no wait for a table. The menu was extensive, offering a mix of Korean and Japanese dishes. We ordered a bento box dinner and a few rolls. The restaurant was a bit chilly with the constant blast of cold air each time the front door opened. We dined with our mothers. The dinner came with complimentary soup and edamame beans, a nice touch. At the end of the meal, we were offered a small dessert of mango or green tea ice cream. The tempura vegetables and shrimp were hot and crispy, though the sweet potatoes lacked flavor. Our main course took a bit longer to arrive due to a large number of takeout orders. We tried to read the posters to learn more about sushi, but the small print was difficult to read. We ordered a beer and water with a straw, which bothered me as I prefer not to use a straw unless I ask for one. The rolls and bento box were just okay - nothing outstanding. The service was adequate, everything was in order.
