A Papano's Pizza - Thompsonville

While on our way to Sleeping Bear Dunes, my children and I got hungry and decided to stop at this restaurant based on the reviews. It turned out to be the perfect place for us. We ordered individual slices and my kids loved the ham and bacon slices, while I enjoyed the ham and mushroom slice. The crust was perfectly crispy. Based on our experience, I highly recommend this place.

The pizza at this restaurant is delicious and served quickly and conveniently. The restaurant is located in a gas station near Crystal Mountain. There is a small selection of beer, wine, drinks, and slushies at the adjacent convenience store, making it a great place for a meal.

I am originally from the east coast and have been on the hunt for a pizza that resembles the hand-tossed style I love from New York. Unfortunately, the pizza I found in the northwest of Michigan is nowhere near what I was looking for. It is decent, but it tastes and looks like something you would find at a gas station or diner. The crust is cooked well, but it reminds me more of a frozen pizza in my opinion. One positive aspect is the ability to customize the taste of the crust, which is a nice touch. The service was quick on a Monday afternoon, but I found the pizza to have too much dough and be too puffy for the amount of cheese and toppings. I will continue my search for the perfect pizza in northern Michigan.

We ordered a couple of pizzas and took them back to our apartment in Crystal Mountain. We really enjoyed the flavors.

The pizza was excellent, but they were missing several items such as silverware for other dishes, crushed red pepper, and jalapenos.
