I absolutely adore this restaurant! The food is always fantastic, the drinks are top-notch, and the service is excellent. It's conveniently located next to my business, so I come here often. My go-to dish is the Fried Green Tomatoes with Pimento cheese – it's my favorite item on the menu! View all feedback.
What Terrie Martin doesn't like about Cross Ties:
I was so hopeful that this restaurant under new management would be better. My baked potato was not a good potato and my soup didn?t even taste like broccoli and cheese. The mango margarita was good and the banana pudding was delicious. I will definitely come back and give them another chance! View all feedback.
This lovely restaurant is located across the tracks from Main Street. I ordered the Asian burger while my wife had the chicken and waffles. My burger was perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of spice. The onion rings were a bit too crispy for my liking, but my wife enjoyed them. Her chicken was crispy and well seasoned, and the waffles were not overly sweet with just the right amount of syrup, which she prefers. She especially loved their Mac and cheese. The restaurant also has a full service bar with a variety of beers on tap. The menu offers a wide selection of choices that I am excited to try on our next visit. This restaurant is a great option for a meal or a night cap.
The restaurant was better than the previous one in my opinion, with much-improved service. Despite a couple of flaws, there were some highlights worth mentioning. The Bulogi burger was a surprising addition to the menu and it was delicious. The Korean flavors really shined through, even though I was disappointed that I couldn't order it medium rare due to state regulations. The tomato pie as a side was flavorful but could have been warmer. My dining companion had the stuffed flounder, which was tasty but the stuffing was too salty. The mashed potatoes could have been warmer, but the collards were a hit. The dining room was a bit cold, but our server Justin was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and provided helpful recommendations. With a few adjustments, this restaurant has the potential to be excellent and I would definitely return.
We are not local but decided to stop at this restaurant and we are glad we did! My husband enjoyed the meatloaf sandwich, mac and cheese, and street corn. The food was fresh and delicious with generous portions. The sweet tea was perfect. I ordered the chicken and waffles and they were absolutely amazing. Four hand-breaded tenders on two homemade waffles, the batter was just the right amount of sweetness and the outside was lightly caramelized. It was the best we have ever had! Our server, Sierra, was friendly, personable, and attentive to our needs throughout our visit. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again.
Had the privilege of eating here for my nieces birthday party. The food was fantastic, as was the service. We all had a great meal and a great time. I would strongly recommend this spot to anybody. I know I will be back.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner made even better by having the amazing banana pudding for dessert!
