La Trattoria Tuscano - The Woodlands

This restaurant has been declining over time. My colleague inquired whether a dish was spicy and was assured it wasn't; however, it turned out to be quite spicy and completely inedible. The waitress still charged us for it, and it was only after we threatened to call a manager that she finally removed it from the bill. The minestrone soup tasted like it came from a can—bland and devoid of any herbs or spices. Another member of our group ordered a wedge salad with traditional bleu cheese dressing and requested a side of ranch as well. The waitress brought only the ranch and then argued with the diner about it. Another patron had a similar issue with their dish. I paid my bill in cash, but my change was never returned. Although it wasn't enough to make a fuss over, it felt like a way for the waitress to secure her tips due to her poor service. This seems to be her tactic for earning gratuities—by not giving back any change. We certainly won't be coming back.
