Great little French style bakery. Love their cappuccinos. I have had many things here, breakfast, sandwiches, soups, deserts, croissants, etc. Always delicious and fresh. View all feedback.
What Jean Ferrand doesn't like about La Madeleine:
Food was mediocre at best. It was in the high nineties outside and the staff refused to turn off the ginormous fireplace in the middle of the restaurant. It is not fun eating a meal and sweating at the same time. Lettuce was room temperature, warm salad, gross. The only good thing about this place was the desserts, they were very good. I had lunch with my family today at La Madeleine, where they've revamped their menu and introduced some new offerings, including sweet crepes. I really appreciate that they serve breakfast all day, as my son is a big fan of breakfast foods. My personal favorite is the potato soup; I truly believe it's the best around. This time, I decided to give one of the new sweet crepes a try. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed—it lacked flavor, the crepe itself was soggy, and there was an excessive amount of powdered sugar on top. On a positive note, the service was excellent and prompt, as always, but I wouldn’t recommend the crepe.
The food was just mediocre overall. It was in the high nineties outside, and the staff refused to turn off the huge fireplace in the center of the restaurant. Eating while sweating is not a pleasant experience. The lettuce was served at room temperature, making the warm salad unappetizing. The only saving grace of this place was the desserts; they were quite enjoyable.
I had lunch with my family at La Madeleine today, and I noticed they've updated their menu with some new items, including sweet crepes. I'm really happy that they serve breakfast all day, especially since my son enjoys it. My favorite dish has to be the potato soup; I genuinely believe La Madeleine serves the best potato soup around. Today, I decided to try one of their new sweet crepes, but I was disappointed. It lacked flavor, the crepe itself was soggy, and they put way too much powdered sugar on top. Overall, while the service is consistently good and efficient, I can't recommend the crepe.
This restaurant is located in the Market Street area of The Woodlands, Texas. They specialize in French cuisine with several American twists. Today, we had lunch there with our grandchildren and tried a selection of sandwiches, along with dessert. Everything was fantastic. The tomato basil bisque was exceptional, just like always. I highly recommend this place!
The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were exceptionally kind. They also provide plenty of seating for larger groups. Overall, this is a highly esteemed restaurant with fantastic food and friendly service. I can't recommend it highly enough!
