Cane Garden - The Villages

Ten of us went for dinner at Cane Garden and were a little leery with all the negative reviews we had been reading about the food and the service, but we had great service from Christina the bartender who was doing both and was real attentive to all of us. They weren't crowded at all, so can only speak for this night. All of our food was pretty good. We will have to give it another try again.

Great food and fun. Met my cousin and her hubby, mom in town with me. We all liked the various dinners, club sandwich, shrimp rosette, liver and onions, and the last was an Italian something. But it was a great dinner.

Food was good, it was worth the price and satisfying for our entire party. I ordered the lobster Bisque (it was very hot, I couldn't cool it without letting it sit for 20 minutes) and the Secret Sauce Shrimp Bowl (not amazing, but a solid choice). The atmosphere was rustic, decorated with bamboo and rattan walls. We came to a low time, and even then the obvious lack of personnel could slow our service quite a bit. Our waitress tried her best, but she seemed like she didn't help anyone with the rest of the tables. In addition, at the end of the day they were from a short rib and had burned the soup of the day, but at least our waitress told us in front.

Our golf group went to Cane Garden after the golf for lunch. The restaurant was not very busy and we had no problem getting room. Our service was very good. I didn't get her name, but she was very good and quickly brought drinks and salads. As usual, our food came hot and good. We had a very pleasant experience.

1. Visit Cane Garden Country Club and it was fantastic. Our server Ashley was super and very attentive. My husband and I both had the Angus Bruger and it was very good. You also have great prices. Will definitely be back!!
