West Lake Chinese Take Away

Unfortunately I can't give this take away even a single star. There is a £10 minimum order charge plus a £1.30 delivery charge despite being less than 2 miles away. I ordered Beef Chop Suey, Egg fried rice and a portion of chips and a tub of sweet sour sauce to bring the order up to the £10. required. When the order arrived, the egg fried rice didn't contain egg and was so dry as to be virtually inedible. The Beef in the chop suey was extremely tough and they had used tinned mushrooms, There were very few bean sprouts in the dish and little or no liquid. It was without doubt the worst Chinese take away I have ever eaten. Avoid this place.

Have had Chinese food from this take away for many years. Always reliable good quality food. Parking is tricky, but quicker than delivery.

By far the best Chinese take away in the area. Great choice and food is always tasty and plentiful. Free delivery if you spend £20 or more although I prefer to collect since delivered food can take longer.

I've been using this Chinese take away for 20 years or so. They're always friendly and the food is always tasty.

The food is fantastic but the customer service from some of the staff is something to be desired! Please don't let this put you off it is more of a comical experience if you think of it like that and you won't be disappointed with the quality of the food. The curries are excellent and very different from any other I've had. As others have mentioned, parking can sometimes be difficult too, just be aware of this.
