Good food, great atmosphere and reasonably priced,definitely go there again

We booked a Sunday lunch here, very last minute. The staff were accommodating and friendly We ordered a small dinner each of one lamb and one beef along with a side of cauliflower cheese to share. I can’t believe that they were small dinners! There was loads of lovely fresh veg and both meats were delicious. The dinners were lovely and tasted homemade and were very reasonably priced. We highly recommend this place if you’re in the area, we’re from an hour away and will definitely be back.

Best Sunday roast we've had in a pub for ages. Beef really tender, plenty of veg, roasters crispy and fluffy. Service was friendly. Dog friendly

This is a Review which will probably contradict itself. firstly the food we had was great. No problem there. Where it all unravelled itself was the service. Don't get me wrong the waitresses etc were polite friendly etc. We arrived after booking a table. We were seated pretty quickly. We then had to wait nearly 1 hour to order our food. We wanted cauliflower cheese added to our order only to be told there was not any left. So we left that and had the basic Sunday lunch. I had beef and my wife had Lamb. Both were ok. After we finished our lunch we wanted desert. We both ordered the crumble only to be informed again there was not any left. We again had to order something they had. The wait and restricted menu did take the shine away from our lunch. It was a shame as we both were looking forward to our Sunday lunch after receiving a recommendation from some friends . It was not a disaster more of a disappointment . Would I return......I think I would give the place another chance. Hopefully this was a blip and not the norm..

Went for a Sunday roast today with my mother. I was greeted with a warm welcome on arrival, seated and the atmosphere was lovely. The Sunday roast was incredible, thoroughly enjoyed the meats were so tender and the veg was cooked to perfection. If you’re having a lazy Sunday or would like to treat yourself by going out for dinner then I highly suggest booking a reservation at this pub.
