A comprehensive menu of Dare from The Rocks featuring all 42 dishes and drinks can be found here on the list.

Located in a bustling area of The Rocks, DARE Cafe offers a mix of experiences for its diners. From a gluten-free pide that feels like a treat to a Turkish-inspired breakfast dish of scrambled eggs, the food at DARE is surprisingly delightful. Despite a miss with the coffee for some patrons, the cafe offers a variety of dishes including vegan options and a range of desserts. The funky decor and use of local ingredients add to the charm of the cafe, but unfortunately, poor customer service experiences tainted some visits. Overall, DARE Cafe provides a unique dining experience worth exploring, especially for those looking for gluten-free options and tasty Turkish-inspired dishes.

Was Eliezer Effertz at Dare a mag?
this caffe could have closed, but the catering people behind it could still run the gozleme stall on the rocks market and they do great gozleme perfect crispy side, well packed fillings, standard prices, and the personal are remarkably good to remember customers. View all feedback.

What Jagoda Król dislikes about Dare:

This very unassuming looking cafe in the heart of the Rocks visitors area was a surprise I must say. Despite the functional appearance and an expectation of overpriced and unremarkable food (aka "for the tourists") I had a very tasty Turkish version of scrambled eggs. This was a lightly seasoned tomato based dish which could be added to to taste with the side of chilli flakes. I added the Turkish sausage also which although similar to chorizo, was less oily. Nice to find something a little different on a breakfast menu and this was a pleasant surprise. Coffee was a complete miss. I wouldn't rush back but at 7:30am when its cool and quiet, maybe I got the timing right and it was ok.

Went there and got all four salads and one bowl and it was perfect and amazing! My friend is vegan and gluten free and they had plenty of options for her as well.

Food reasonable but at $6 for every add-on with your breakfast, a little pricey. Service dreadful. Nice waitress but she got part of the order wrong. Extremely disorganised when we tried to pay. Could have just walked off without paying if we'd wanted to. I don"t think they would even have noticed. Very rude woman in charge. Won't be going back.

My brief experience at DARE was delightful and one which I would enjoy again. DARE, which stands for 'Delicious and Responsible Eating ', is a small friendly cafe which was just next to the markets that operate at The Rocks on Friday mornings. This is a gluten free haven where coeliacs can enjoy options which we usually aren 't able to think banana pancakes and loads of raw desserts! I had a slice of the gluten free banana bread which was served with fresh fruit salad. It was toasted, warm and quite moist, however could have done with a touch more sweetness to make it just that much more delicious. I paired my banana bread with a vanilla chai latte, served in an unusual but welcomed tall glass and fragrant rose petals. Wish I could have tried more gf options here in my short stay in Sydney!

Great little cafe at the rocks, food tasted wonderful and full of flavour (I had the Menemen, Turkish style scrambled eggs with bread). Only small downside was that the food went cold very quickly, and my smoothie was a bit too yoghurty. Partner had the gluten free banana bread and said that was wonderful too!
