Appetito - The Rocks

We've dined many times at Appertito, but that was the last. My pasta was bland and inedible, the two people I was with also thought their meals were bland and very poor. Very disappointing as we live on the south coast and travelled in specifically to dine there. Even though we mentioned it to a waiter we were still charged full price and the surcharge. We did receive a small discount after I complained again.

Dined with friends on a Saturday night, the food was very good and came out quickly. You are able to split the bill which was helpful, however make sure you have your totals figured out before going to the register. Also the 10% surcharge on a Saturday I thought was a little much considering there are no award rates for staff working on Saturday's.

We were looking for something close to our hotel and simple for our first night in Sydney. This place is right across from cruise ship terminal. The service was very good and prices were reasonable. We ordered a salad with arugula, pear and shaved parm that was very tasty. We also shared a pizza that had ham, artichoke, mushrooms, and olives. It unfortunately fell way short of being good. The crust was burnt and pretty soggy.

After initially booking for 15 I changed my order to 8 and upon arrival there was no booking. Very disappointing considering I booked months ago! No one seemed to know what was going on. Eventually we were seated and the food and experience was fabulous.

An enjoyable evening with friends. The food was great, the service was good. Panna cotta was amazing.
