We hadn't tried this restaurant for several years, but six of us enjoyed a banquet dinner - and found it even better than we remembered. The strength of the restaurant is it's wide range of Asian dishes. It serves quality Chinese, Malaysian and Thai dishes and these can be mixed if you select a banquet. It's not easy to please six people, but there were no complaints from our group. The service was excellent; the staff... View all feedback.
What Lily Swift doesn't like about Sesame's:
Food was just OK Service was poor. Even though restaurant was only half full given a table only one foot from another couple. Would not return as better restaurants close by in The Junction. View all feedback.

Came here for dinner on a Thursday night with my husband. This restaurant provides a nice casual atmosphere. Even though it was not a busy night the service was a bit slow, not sure if this was due to numerous take-away orders, and our waiter/server was not overly friendly. However, the menu offered an extensive choice of South East Asian cuisine - Thai, Malaysian, Chinese - which made it hard to decide. We started with a shared entree of Chicken Satay skewers, a bit spicier than what we have tasted at other Asian restaurants, but none the less thoroughly enjoyable. Our mains were a combination omelette and a seafood laksa. Recommend both these dishes for flavour and portion size. We have been here on previous occasions when it was crowded and it can get quite noisy. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for tasty Asian at a reasonable price.
I had another enjoyable night at Sesame's for my mate's birthday. The menu is extensive and has something for everyone. The prices are good and the service friendly. Sesame's never disappoints.
Went here as a group of four ladies. We started with piccolos of pink moscato which was lovely. The staff are so helpful, they had to come back so many times as we had not caught up for a long time and couldn't read through the menu without chatting!Anyway we finally decided (with the help of the staff) to start with San Choy bao to share which was so good, and crab cakes. We had to fight over the fifth! For main we again ordered a few things to share - the potion sizes are great. We got a red prawn curry which was so fresh, a chilli basil beef and a chicken dish which I can't remember the name of but it was so beautiful- not a scrap was left although we couldn't have eaten any more! Oh and a bowl of rice to share which was plenty. Will definitely go again... Although, we went as an adult group, two ladies in the group regularly bring their families with children
Pleasant staff and food very tasty. Have been here only for lunch - quite time. Very reasonable and a good choice on the menu
