We went here for dinner. It wasn’t crowded, probably because it was only 6:30 pm. The person that took our order wasn’t too helpful in making recommendations. However, after we placed our order, this fantastic Guatemalan server was absolutely kind and hospitable. He made us feel welcomed. He took very good care of us and asked us to try different dishes. What Manoo Zaf doesn't like about The Afghan Village:
There is nothing Afghan about this restaurant. -The bathroom is smelly and dirty. -The dining area is dusty and moldy. -There are no Persian speaking staff. All foreigners. I 'm sure even the cook is a foreigner. -And worst of all, the food is not anything close to Afghan food. The Sheer Yakh is not the actual sheer Yakh but just ice cream passed off as Sheer Yakh. The Manto is tasteless and cold. The Qabuli Palaw 's... View all feedback.
Everyone is so friendly, mindful, and very demure. They were pretty quick with the service even tho they were busy. All grilled items were very yummmmyyyy
We ordered lamb Kahari, beef kabob with pulao rice, and Chicken Pulao. We also ordered garlic naan, green tea, and milk tea. The food was delicious. The lamb was tender and full of flavor. The chicken was soft and tasty. We were delighted with the flavors of the different dishes. We would definitely come back with more friends.
Kamran and Reggie were amazing hosts. I've been here over 8 times. And not once have I been disappointed by anything on the menu. Make sure you order Chai Milk tea! I come here specifically for the Lamb shank and chicken kabobs. If they have Afghani soup, make sure you get a bowl! Just like my Grandpa used to make back home. Enjoy, brothers and sisters
Qabuli polave is my favorite. Love this spot. Family oriented, best customer, service, and awesome food.
