I give it five in everything. The atmosphere of the restaurant is something between modern and old west. You can enter without a reservation and you can wait in a comfortable waiting room. I give it five in everything. The atmosphere of the restaurant is something between modern and old west. You can enter without a reservation and you can wait in a comfortable waiting room. The waiting time was less than advertised. You select the cut you are going to eat after the explanation they give you at the counter of the different cuts available. Once you order, you receive a tour of the restaurant's kitchen facilities and then you can go select what you want from the salad bar (very varied) and finally you will wait for your cut at the table. Everything simply delicious and abundant.
Staff is rude and food is overpriced and bland. Would do 0 stars if I could.
I gave 5 stars because there was no 6 star option. I finally got to go with my daughters and my wife as a Father's Day gift. It's not just a meal, it's a wonderful Houston tradition and experience. I'm just saying I'm glad you're here.
I went out with some friends and the ambience of the restaurant truly encompass Texas culture. The whole restaurant was embellished to resemble the Alamo, and you truly could feel it through every aspect within the restaurant. Which in certain aspects was a bit overwhelming. The highlight for me was definitely the cheddar cheese bread from the salad bar. It was absolutely delicious! The salad bar itself is well-stocked, but a little misleading since it seems like you only get one pass to fill your plate. I also tried the quail bites, and as a first-time experience, they were quite nice. The steamed lobster was another enjoyable dish – perfectly cooked and flavorful. For drinks, I had a lemon drop and a piña colada. The lemon drop was nice, and the piña colada was sweet with hardly a hint of the liquor, which I really liked. The service was great, too. Our server was knowledgeable about the establishment and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, price wise, I spent around $120 which included 2 drinks, an appetizer, entree, and a side.
Just a great place to go but it only for special occasions because this place will take some money Kid-friendliness: Kids were there
