I’ve been here twice. The place is nice and great for the vegan community. The honey mint tea is amazing. This time I had the mushroom pizza which has so much flavor. I believe there’s free WiFi. You can sit in or outside. The parking lot only holds about 10-12 cars so that can be issue at times. But check this place out. View all feedback.
I stopped here for breakfast because it’s next to my eye doctor. I didn’t know it was vegan until I walked in. Not my kind of thing but I was already there so figured I would give it a try. The coffee was phenomenal! Can’t over emphasize that. The service was very good and my pancake flight was delicious. Cool vibe inside. They sell vinyl and I’m a collector. The one downside is the record I purchased does not play well. My fault for not opening and checking the disk.Parking: Small parking lot
The service and food here is exceptional!! I got the Coltrane Croissant Sandwich (comes with fries) with a mocha cold brew and it was delicious. The sandwich was tasty....a great combination of a very slight spice with a hint of sweetness. The patty was seasoned so well and the fries were perfect- not too crispy and not too soft. Trying to describe the taste isn't possible, you just need to try this sandwich! The seating on the patio was comfortable and relaxing. Our server was super friendly and provided great recommendations on which dishes to try and also other vegan restaurants to try. Overall a great vegan restaurant that you definitely need to try!#vegan #LocalGuide
I tried this place for the 1st time today . I ordered the Coltrane Croissant breakfast sandwich. My gf ordered the Gumbo with lump crab. The waitress was wonderful. The wait time was 1hr. We waited 20-25 mins for our food... which is about average I would say. My food tasted delicious 5 stars there... BUT I can not have spicy food especially on an empty stomach. So my food had to be sent back forcing me to wait an additional 20-25 mins but now with a stomach ache. My gf requested a piece of bread or something for my stomach to help while we waited. We ended up telling them I was ready to leave and we're ready for the check because even the bread took at least 15 mins to come to the table .. I know because the replacement food came about 5mins after. The manager came to the table to apologize and stated he wasn't aware of the situation. And the manager fixed the check. We appreciated that. So beware if you are sensitive to spice don't order the Croissant breakfast sandwich. Also the parking lot is small. So be prepared to park and walk just encase you may have to. And ask about the wait time BEFORE going.Edit -I gave this place another try. And this time we had a much better experience. We were able to sit outside so we were sat instantly. We ordered the Cajun pasta with Lump crab and kid fried shrooms with fries .
Came all the way from Charlotte just to try out vegan food and they didn’t disappoint..not too much anyway. The only thing is the Johnny Nash Sweet Potato Hash I was ready for the healthy yams but it was barely any potato Lolol more like a Johnny Nash Salad. Grit Flight—The Mushrooms were great not rubbery or overly breaded, grits weren’t runny or too stiff. Brussel sprouts were surprisingly good with the fig vinaigrette I was skeptical. Bread pudding was different but the spin on it worked for me. My palate tasted baked apples and cinnamon like my mom use to make as a kid! Ohh the drinks were the delicious ones that sneak up on you, questioned if ANY alcohol was in it or if they gave us mocktails. Croissant not pictured was ok I could do without next time. Jae was our waitress, she was great and the playlist was fire!
After spending the weekend eating so much seafood and soul food, I woke up on our last morning craving plant based food and this place came highly recommended.. I really liked the vibe of the place with the neo soul music videos playing outside. I got the breakfast croissant sandwich and it was delicious. I also upgraded my side to the truffle hash and I should have just stuck with the fries. The hash was too greasy and had too much going on. I ordered a cocktail, fyi they have no liquor but what I had was very good and refreshing. The service was good but I felt like she was overwhelmed so we waited for a few things but no big deal. I would come back next time I'm in Houston.
