Food is good but ran out of food around 8pm other than brisket even though I called ahead and made a reservation for 16 people at 8pm. Would have appreciated a warning that they might not have any food left and we would’ve gone elsewhere. It’s a reason why we didn’t go to another bbq place originally bc they had told us they might not have much left to serve 16 at 8pm

Great food, Amazing service, beautiful place. Atmosphere is awesome very spacious and inviting. Everyone on the team is friendly and helpful.

The brisket was delicious. We had to sit outside for a work conference. It was super cold and none of the outdoor heaters were turned on. There was a terrible smell outside and the files are atrocious. I could barely eat my food due to the smell and flies. I couldn’t deviate from the menu much without avoiding up charge. I wanted the tacos, but one brisket and they wanted to charge me 3$ up charge, but wouldn’t let me chose my sides with the tacos. So, I ended up getting a one meat plate. The portions were huge and tasted good. I feel like the customer service wasn’t great. The venue is nice, but I probably won’t return.

We recently stopped in J Bar M Barbecue for drinks while we were waiting to go to a nearby venue. Had never been before, solely drawn in by the marketing. The drinks that we ordered (Peach Tea Whiskey Smash and Texas 75) were delicious: 5 stars we’d love to try our rendition of these cocktails at home. When we came in, the pan wells were empty and being cleaned so we assumed they had stopped serving food for the night. The service that we received overall was abysmal. We were sitting at the bar for 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged during that time, we watched 2 bartenders scan the bar and disappear, and watched one bartender socialize with the group next to us. There were maybe 13 customers in the whole restaurant with half sitting at the bar, so I found this entire experience odd. After we finally were able to order, the way we received our drinks was off putting. The bartender was so intently focused on the group next to us while passing us our drinks, almost as if he couldn’t be bothered to pay attention or make eye contact with us. There are a lot of things I’m willing to overlook but poor customer service is not one of them. I just wish J Bar M Barbecue was better.
