What Harley Wilson doesn't like about Batchelors Patisserie:
The food was good, but the service was poor. We initially got coffee from the Costa across the street, but were drawn in by the view of the croissants on the terrace and decided to try one. The lady at the reception seemed unfriendly, but we decided to overlook it and make our purchase. As we were enjoying our food and drink outside, another lady came out and asked us to leave because we had bought coffee elsewhere.... View all feedback. read moreTransport yourself back in time at this patisserie in Margate, Kent. The restaurant offers a unique selection of cakes that are hard to come by elsewhere. The food is good, especially the German-style baked cheesecake with a layer of cherry. The service leaves something to be desired, as some found the staff unwelcoming and rude. Despite this, the vintage decor and selection of delightful treats, like French Macarons and vegan slices, make it worth a visit. The ambiance is both rare and comforting, offering a refreshing change from typical cafes. This charming establishment is perfect for those who appreciate unique patisserie and a cozy atmosphere.
