Yesterday afternoon, I stopped in for a quick pint and ended up loving the place so much that I returned in the evening to enjoy some live music. I had a fantastic night at this charming little pub, where the ciders were great and the atmosphere was cozy. Everyone I talked to was incredibly friendly. Good selection of ales, friendly staff, good hearty sharpener, as a real pub should be. not a gastro-pub or resturaunt, an ale house that was the norm many years ago. these small gems disappear, keep them supported
Stopped off for lunch! The food was good, wholesome and tasty! I had their pie which was delicious! The beer that I had was a couple of pints of Wadworths 6X which was first class!! The lady who served us was very friendly, chatty and attentive- just like pubs should be!! Throughly recommend this pub and will certainly visit again next time I in the area.
Cosy, traditional pub. Locals and staff are very friendly and welcoming they make you feel like a regular! We had sunday lunch which was amazing! Cauliflower cheese was beautiful, tender pork and crispy roasties. The cook made me a special gluten free Quorn mince roast and it came with delicious gluten free gravy. They couldn't have been more accommodating.
We enjoyed a good hearty lunch. I can recommend the Faggot's. Our two Labrador retrievers were also made very welcome by everyone. Very good atmosphere.
Best pub in town, categorically. Excellent atmosphere, traditional, quality beers ciders, varied groovy live music and service with a smile. Highly recommended for a drink, or delicious pub food, especially the Sunday Roasts!
