Beware the secretive 18% service charge for at the counter take out purchases. No advance disclosure is provided to the customer. The credit card charge screen then provides an “add the tip” option as if no tip is already included. Seems like the place to be after a hard day on the slopes! Menu is bar food style with a twist as they do serve Elk and Bison which are really great. It’s hard to get a table at peak times, the wait staff is very attentive but you have to grab them and get their attention. Beers are cold and hit the spot, food comes out very quick. As others mentioned there is a 20% minimum gratuity.
Nice setting! Great atmosphere after a day on the hills. The food was great (I had the elk stroganoff and hot wings), and we enjoyed the live music.
Waitstaff is great and attentive keep in mind they do 20% even for parties of 1, but they work for it. Elk sausage was a bit spicy for me but I’m weak sauce on spice level if you like any sort of jalepno you’ll love it. The BISON BUTGER was fabulous. I’d get it a dozen more times. Kudos. We ate here with a big group of about 40. We were lucky to be seated outside, the weather was perfect! There is a large grassy area for the kids to play on while we waited for our food. The appetizers-bacon wrapped dates and Brussels sprouts-were SO good! And I don’t even like Brussels sprouts! : I had salmon and my kids had steak and chicken. All of it was delicious! We also had cheesecake and creme brûlée which was so good too! Tessa,(I think that was her name-older waitress who used to work in pediatrics our waitress, was really awesome, and also hilarious! She kept our drinks full and had fun energy! I know they are short on wait staff this year, due to the housing shortage. We were really impressed with how they handled our large group and would love to eat here again someday! Thank you!!
