The food was bland and lacked seasoning. No one came by to refill our drinks. The pancakes had an eggy flavor, but on the plus side, they were enormous and thick—you really only need one. However, be prepared to pay a premium for such tasteless food. Overall, I was very disappointed and won't be returning!
The next morning, Saturday, I returned with my newlywed daughter and her in-laws for breakfast. Again, the same woman was at the front. I requested a table for eight, but she claimed there was no space. When I suggested combining two tables, she firmly said no and insisted I get back in line. I explained that we already had four people seated and asked if she could arrange a table for eight. She began to yell at me that she had already said no. At this point, I reminded her of how Kelly, the former owner who had tragically died in a skydiving accident last winter, treated customers with kindness. Kelly always greeted everyone with a smile and happily accommodated requests. I truly miss him. A simple request for a table for eight turned into a significant issue. The woman called the manager, who never heard my side of the story, and ended up kicking me out of the restaurant, causing my daughter and her husband to leave as well, which created a very awkward situation for all of us, especially since the other family had already ordered breakfast. Please, I urge you not to go to this restaurant if you value good service and respect. The way we were treated was disheartening, and the food was subpar—cold and tasting overly greasy, a far cry from what it used to be under Kelly’s watch. We ended up at Bubba’s instead, where the staff was friendly, especially a waitress named Stacey, and the food and service were excellent. There are many places in town, such as Cowboy Coffee, Persephone, and Café Genevieve, that treat customers well and provide great service. Do yourself a favor and try those instead. Thank you for considering my experience.
Unfortunately, the food was cold. I ordered huevos rancheros, which did not taste like they used to. The service was slow, and our meals took a long time to arrive. They only brought food for five of us, and a simple chicken salad came about 15 minutes later. The following day, Saturday morning, I returned with my newlywed daughter and her in-laws for breakfast. I urge people not to visit this restaurant if you appreciate good service and a pleasant dining experience. The staff treated us with disrespect, making us feel like we were a burden. As for the food, it was subpar—cold and tasting like old grease, which was never the case when Kelly was in charge. We ended up going to Bubba’s, where the situation was entirely different. Stacey, the waitress there, was incredibly nice and friendly, and the food was excellent, coupled with excellent customer service. There are many other wonderful places in town that treat you with dignity, such as Cowboy Coffee, Persephone, and Café Geneve. You’ll receive excellent customer service at these spots.
