Tried a little of everything and loved it all. Cheese and milk chocolate fondue great, traditional German food fantastic. Would not recommend white chocolate fondue dessert. View all feedback.
What Charlotte Kerluke doesn't like about Alpenhof Bistro At The Alpenhof Lodge:
We made the reservation based on the dinner menu shown on their website. When we arrived, we found that they had a very limited lunch menu (not mentioned on website). We asked to order off the dinner menu we had seen and were told that that menu was several years old and was no longer available. Bait and switch! We were very disappointed. We had driven out to TETON VILLAGE specifically to eat there. We hate to write... View all feedback.
Salad was not fresh and the entrees were cold. Service was slow and the waitress didn’t even ask why we didn’t finish our food.
Yes great old school mountain dining especially if you like Fondue!!
Usually a great dining option at Teton Village. This time, the quality of beef provided for our main course fondue Chinoise was very poor: basically it was stewing steak, just wrong for steak that is cooked in a boiling (at 6,800ft) broth. Not a pleasant eating experience/inedible. When, as we hope, we return, we shall likely stick to cheese fondue options.
Our Christmas Eve tradition. The menu has changed so we weren't able to order fondue (which is only served at the Bistro upstairs) but the new items were all delicious. The service was wonderful and the setting makes you feel as if you were in the Alps.
Food was fabulous, our server was attentive and super pleasant. There was a party in the bar; we couldn’t talk amongst ourselves or speak with the server without yelling. Very, very unpleasant. Once most of the partygoers left, the noise level was reasonable. Will return, but if bar...which opens into the Bistro...is noisy, we will leave and not return.
