We had booked online using the Green King app. Friendly greeting and p... read more Went there for the first time in ages on a Friday evening. There were 4 of us; 2 couples. We had booked online using the Green King app. Friendly greeting and promptly shown to our table. We ordered our food and drinks at the bar. The food arrived quickly and was of good quality and the portions were generous. The service at all times was excellent. The prices were unbelievably good compared to many other local pubs. Would highly recommend.

And good value. Staff friendly with a bit of encouragement. Smiles to them and kind comments helped. We would have walked out had the kind head waiter not found us an alternative table, at the back of the main area which was much quieter, despite booking too. Ladies toilets could do with a revamp. Toilet seat nearly off, doors and general decor in there tired. We had a very pleasant evening thanks!!
