Contribute FeedbackThe George Dragon offers a mixed experience with food quality varying among dishes. Some customers found the vegetables and Yorkshire Puddings to be dry and lacking in portion size, while others enjoyed the flavorful burger and sticky toffee pudding. Despite some inconsistencies, the team at the pub has managed well during the challenges of Covid-19, providing good customer service and a pleasant ambience. The pub has received praise for its careful attention to social distancing measures, making diners feel comfortable and safe. Overall, The George Dragon is recommended for its friendly atmosphere and delicious food, with some minor issues noted such as a smoky log burner and unusual Yorkshire Puddings during Sunday lunch.
The George is always a lovely pub to visit, either for a pint mid walk or for Sunday Lunch (which was this time for us). We’ve been twice in the past 3 months and it’s been great both times. The team have really managed well considering all the Covid issues in 2020. We will definitely be visiting again soon
Customer service was good and ambience was wonderful. Food was average, the burger seemed like cheap patty’s but the fries were really good. The nibble box was served in a takeaway box which was... different.
A lovely country pub with lots of safety measures in place
In general, it was a delightful experience at the restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was good although the menu had a limited variety of options.
Poor food quality. Vegetables and Yorkshire Puddings were clearly left for some time before serving, they were very dry. Also, not a lot of food for a £16 roast.
