The restaurant was exceptionally clean, especially when compared to most other Long John Silver locations. The staff at the counter were very friendly, and it was clear they take pride in their work. The food was good overall, but I found the fish to be quite thin, which made the batter overshadow its flavor.
We hadn 't been to a Long John Silver 's in quite a while, but the food was just as good as we remembered. There was some confusion when ordering, however. I had previously looked at this restaurants online menu and decided on what to order. However, the baskets were not shown on the posted menu inside. After I described to the young man working the register what I wanted, he asked the manager in the back, and she replied, If it 's not up there, we don 't have it. Finally, while looking at the register menu, the young man found the baskets there, and I was able to order.
Additionally, I saw her make eye contact with someone in the kitchen and give a slight smirk, which felt unprofessional and suspicious. This raises concerns about consumer security. Was that portion an offer intended for her own use, or is there a possibility that my credit information could be compromised? I plan to reach out to corporate about this incident and will be looking for another LJS location. I expect to hear from either the manager or the district manager regarding this matter. The whole situation left me feeling uneasy and showed a lack of concern for customers.
The food has always been good. I'm also impressed by the adding chicken to the menu.
