had the scallops in tarragon sauce ,sauce was great but only served 3 scallops for a main course with a spoon full of rice and few vegetables , the escargot with garlic butter and a touch of Ricard is a joke , there was more Ricard than anything plus they did not have bread with the escargot to sop up the garlic butter . The steak special according to my family was okay as well as the pork. View all feedback.
From the moment I chose Hannibal for our special event, the experience was nothing short of spectacular. The owner, Vince graciously offered to close down the restaurant for the evening to accommodate our group of about 50 guests, setting the stage for an exclusive and intimate gathering. The venue itself is a gem, boasting high-end finishes that blend elegance with a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. The food was a highlight of the evening; each dish was a masterpiece of flavors, beautifully presented and tailored to delight even the most discerning palates. The service was impeccable—attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make sure our experience was unforgettable. Our guests were thoroughly impressed, not just with the culinary excellence but also with the extraordinary attention to detail and personalized service. Thanks to Hannibal, my event was a resounding success, leaving me and our guests with beautiful memories of a perfect evening. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a dining experience that truly stands out.
The food is terrible, it was the worst I've tasted in a long time! Tough filet mignon is small, that means it wasn't filet mignon. The mashed potatoes seem to be old, the worst I've ever eaten, then they changed my dish to a crepe, a piece of chicken came completely raw, the bread was old? My experience was terrible, not to mention the cleaning of the glasses had fingerprints and was dirty!
Our Valentine's dinner experience at Hannibals/Chez Vincent was nothing short of disappointing. Despite my boyfriend's reservation, our evening started off on the wrong foot. Upon arriving, the hostess brushed me off not once, but twice, before acknowledging our presence. It was disheartening, to say the least. As we were finally seated, the service didn't improve. Our server treated us with a dismissive attitude, as if we were children. (We are a rather young couple, but we both have well-paying jobs and have enough money. The prefixed menu, which was not advertised anywhere online, left us with no choice but to stay and endure the underwhelming meal to avoid a cancellation fee. The food itself was a letdown. Bland flavors, clearly frozen vegetables, and a hefty price tag of $80 per person for a meal we wouldn't have chosen otherwise. The filet mignon was overcooked for me and undercooked for my boyfriend. The seafood pastry was subpar, and the salad was simply sad to look at. To add insult to injury, the lack of attention from the staff was glaring. I sat with an empty water cup for an extended period, while nearby tables received prompt service and were provided with water to pour themselves. No one bothered to check on us, despite our server having only a few tables to attend to at the time. The only silver lining was the unexpected dessert, which wasn't listed on the menu. But even that couldn't salvage the overall dismal experience. Hannibals failed to meet even the most basic standards of hospitality and culinary excellence. Our $170 meal felt like an overpriced snack, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to anyone. What was meant to be a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner together at a fancier restaurant than we’re used to turned out to be a major disappointment and quite frankly a disaster.
9/27/23 Attended a Educational dinner last nite. Obviously it was over booked! Thank God, for our host who was awesome! He walked me through the financial presentation upstairs and escorted me downstairs to the cellar where our venue was being hosted. Other colleagues were told to go to the back door! It was raining and so much construction going on... Who does that? How disrespectful! The food was very flavorful and the svc. was great.
What a sweet spot to be! Quaint and beautiful settings! As a local resident in Winter Park, I have to confess that I have forgotten about Hannibal's On The Square... Last evening we decided to have a drink there and the place is just wonderful. We sat by the bar and our waitress was just so friendly and attentive! She was adorable and checked on us frequently. Food was delicious!!! We ordered a lamb burger and a brie cheese appetizer only as we had dinner before visiting the bar/restaurant. Will definitely revisit soon on an evening when they have live music. Love this place!
