What Van Rau doesn't like about Antonia's:
We found the food here very average, bordering on not tasty at all. I had the chicken mole, and the sauce wasn't bad but the chicken tasted like it had been stewed in water and was definitely not tasty. Two small pieces - a drumstick and a back - seemed a tad skimpy for the price, as well.My husband ordered a shrimp dish and was not impressed.Our daughter had vegetarian enchiladas, which she quite enjoyed. We loved Antonia's -- the food, the service, the atmosphere. We were looking for a place that was serving authentic Mexican, something close to home-cooked, and we found that in Antonia's. Greeted with a smile, and served up great dishes all around. We could hear and see the cooking going on in this open air space. Very affordable, sizable servings.
