This is a quiet place where you sit in the yard which is swept dirt. Bananas are growing, chihuahuas running around, laundry on the line. So far, our best meal in Sayulita. The mole was divine, everything cooked to perfection and a much better Margarita than I had a few blocks away at a top rated place.

Classic homemade dishes as authentic as they come. Mother, daughters, aunts and cousins invite you into their home (backyard really) and cook and serve wholesome, delicious comida Mexicana for your pleasure. Everything is authentic and delicious but the pork tamales and shrimp chile rellenos are not to be missed. This is an often overlooked little gem in Sayulita that shouldn't be missed if you are looking for classic, traditional and authentic. There is nothing fancy here, just real and good.

We visit Antonia's every time we visit Sayulita. Think we've been there 6 or 8 times. This is like going to someone's house for dinner. Not fancy (yes - a dirt floor but alway very clean & swept), but worth a dinner when you want some good home cooking. We always find out when they are making tamales and do a return visit another night for tamales. The family is very nice, the food is terrific and great value. Never had a bad meal here.

We loved Antonia's -- the food, the service, the atmosphere. We were looking for a place that was serving authentic Mexican, something close to home-cooked, and we found that in Antonia's. Greeted with a smile, and served up great dishes all around. We could hear and see the cooking going on in this open air space. Very affordable, sizable servings. Make sure to order the chips and pico de gallo -- the chips are homemade! We ate there twice, and got to-go as well. It opens later in the afternoon. Note, this place is rustic, and that is part of its charm. Very clean and extremely well-run by a family. You feel like you are eating a delicious meal in someone's home. This place should be sought out.

My poor surfer hubby got very sick from the polluted waters on the main beach in Sayulita. We asked the kind doctor from the 24 hour clinic to come to our hotel room 2 days in a row, as my husband was very weak and did not feel like getting up from bed or eating anything for two days.I dropped by Antonia's and asked if she could make a simple homemade chicken soup, without spices and said I would drop by in 3 hours. I arrived and the soup was packaged and ready for takeout. When I opened up the bag I found two large styrofoam containers with the perfect portions for two bowls of the most delicious homemade soup! The clear homemade stock had lovely chunks of perfectly cooked carrots, potatoes and onions and with just the right amount of shredded chicken breast.... nice and simple with no spices as requested. There was also a bag of Mexican rice which I added to the pot for heating the soup in our hotel with kitchen. There was also a bag with finely diced onion, jalapeno and cilantro which I gladly added to my soup (I was not sick). Had I arrived on time, I'm sure the soup would have been just the right temperature, but I was 30 minutes late (I felt so bad... but couldn't help it).Antonia did a fantastic job on that soup... I make homemade chicken soup all the time at home, and I was very pleased with her cooking skills! If you find yourself sick in Sayulita, be sure to visit Antonia's early in the day so she can make you a small batch chicken soup! It's just what Dr. Armando recommended, and my dear husband is now recovered!Antonia was just lovely and I am happy to return soon for more of her authentic Mexican cooking!Location: Calle Ninos Heroes near Avenida Revolucion, in downtown Sayulita
