We arrived at 3pm to find that the restaurant's sign indicated that they were serving food until 4pm. Despite there being an available table, we were informed that the chef had already left for the day and no more food would be available. It was evident that they did not want our business. We had not visited this pub before, but we are very happy that we decided to return. read moreNestled in a charming building, this pub offers a cozy atmosphere complemented by friendly staff and a delightful outdoor seating area. Reviews reflect mixed experiences; while some enjoyed generous portions of homemade dishes like venison pie and Sunday roasts, others were disappointed by an outdated menu and inconsistent food quality, including dry burgers and mushy lasagnas. Prices were noted as high, and some diners faced issues with reservations. Despite a few critiques regarding comfort and cleanliness, the pub remains a pleasant spot for drinks and a casual meal, particularly appreciated for its inviting ambiance and dog-friendly policy.
