I only visited this restaurant once and ordered the cod, but like others have mentioned, it didn't seem to be cod at all. Cod doesn't have black skin. I felt quite unwell afterwards, and that was the only thing I had eaten. I wouldn't recommend this place, even though the waitress did work hard. View all feedback.

read moreNestled in a bustling town, The Queens Head offers a mixed dining experience. While some patrons were disappointed with missteps in service and food quality, particularly with fish dishes, others praised the restaurant for its exceptional homemade steak pie and generous Sunday roasts. Many noted the hardworking staff, despite occasional lapses in attention. However, highlights included a delightful afternoon tea, lauded for its generous portions and beautiful presentation. Overall, while service may falter at times, the restaurant’s cozy atmosphere and select standout dishes make it a worthwhile visit for both locals and tourists alike.
