This is one of the top chip shops in Clacton, and I have sampled many during my time living here. I have never had a subpar or greasy meal here - everything is always cooked to perfection. The family who operates the shop are delightful as well. Give it a try, you won't be let down.
Excellent food. The restaurant is very clean and not at all greasy, unlike what was mentioned in another review. The staff are also very friendly. I highly recommend this place.
Do not go by times they say they open on the flyers. It says 12.00 when they open at 3.00 Waste of time.
This fish and chip shop used to be excellent, but in the past two weeks, the quality has deteriorated. I ordered a takeout by phone and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. However, when I arrived at the shop, I had to wait an additional 20 minutes. When I finally got home and tried the food, I was disappointed to find that it was extremely greasy and the chips were soggy. I recommend going somewhere else for better quality.
Beautiful place to get a nice piece of fish n chips, recommend is the skinless cod cooked to perfection and use fresh oil on the chips too, so do not get this fishy taste on their chips.
