I have eaten curry weekly for over 50 years and spent quite a few years in London near Roman Road where every other shop was a curry house so to get customers they had to be good. Thaal of Spices is up there with the best of them, its standards did drop for a few months last year when the owner went to his home country of Bangladesh but it was still the best in the area. Happily the owner is now back and standards ar... View all feedback.

Never left a review before but feel this place deserves one… food has always been amazing, but over the past few months they are on another level. one of the best Indian takeaways I’ve ever had consistently.
Food was lovely. Good service, pleasant welcoming staff. Will go back
I recently ordered food from this restaurant and it was fantastic. The food was still hot when I arrived home and the portion size was just right. The man working in the shop was very welcoming and kind, while the lady at the counter was friendly and talkative. I highly recommend this place, a perfect 10/10 rating.
Decided to update my review seeing as there is new management. We ordered last night and it was awful. Told to expect a 1 hour wait we waited over 1 and a half hours. Two phone calls chasing our food later and food arrived with some main dishes missing. What was there was not great. This takeaway was wonderful a few years back and now it is so bland. We kept biting on whole cardamon pods that taste like soap. The chicken chat didn't have that lovely freshness and zing it used to have, the lamb palak was slow cooked rather than lean chunks of leg meat. Anyway, i spent to meal trying to get through on the phone to get our missing dishes. Got through after half an hour, complained, rest was finally delivered when we were all finished. Safe to say won't ever be ordering again. We don't often get takeaways, this was a celebration and our dinner was ruined, so disappointed. £45 wasted.
The best Indian happy hour offers great prices and deals.
