Kwan Thai - Ipswich

Kwan thai is one of the most appreciated Thai restaurants in London. has excellent reviews on the web and in the local press, knowing that the Londoners are already the capital of Asian cuisine out of asia. There are hundreds of restaurants, but this one stands out for its incredible quality. is installed in there, next to the támesis, and has two plants. We were between twelve people, two years in a row, and every time each one's food was ready at the same time, we never had to wait for anything, the service was discreet but perfect. As for the food, we try the tickets for two minimum people, those of the meat and those of the seafood, all of them have a lot. Then everyone had ordered a different dish, but we tried a little of everything, in the middle of the table, with rice and padai. I recommend the dishes of the shrimp king, they are huge and very tasty shrimps. with the dish of asparagus particularly. the account, will leave about 30 – 40 pounds per person for a full dinner with wine or beer. for smaller groups up to 4 people there are fixed menus where you get something from everything.

Visited here with a friend for lunch, neither of us had been before. The food was AMAZING, we tried a few different dishes as we haven’t tried much Thai food before and honestly it was all so lovely, we had a mix of vegetable, prawn and chicken dishes and I would eat it again tomorrow! Can’t wait to come back and try some more of the menu!!! The man that served us was lovely, so friendly and made us feel comfortable. Service and food was quick and great prices. Look forward to eating here again very soon.

Very nice experience overall. The decoration is a little bit strange, school like chairs and tables but the food was very good which is most important! We had set menu c between the 3 of us. Starters were ok… there was some bread on the platter that tasted a bit strange… I think this should have been toast? Had an odd flavour to it. The mains come out and all of us enjoyed! Prawns were lovely! Beef, chicken dishes were enjoyed and all plates cleaned up. Would recommend!

What a little gem, we visited here last night the staff and owner are truly outstanding, friendly and make you feel sooooo welcome. The food is again amazing, authentic, tasty and this so makes you want to go back, and we will.
