Contribute FeedbackThe Tesco Café experience seems to be a tale of contrasts. While some diners praise the friendly staff, delicious cappuccinos, and commendable fish and chips, others express disappointment with food quality and service. Reports of greasy breakfasts, lukewarm meals, and unprofessional staff behavior overshadow the positive aspects. Nonetheless, the attentive manager often seeks feedback to improve standards. Frequent patrons appreciate the accommodating nature of the staff and the good value for money, making the café a regular stop for many. Overall, it’s clear that Tesco Café has potential, but consistency and service quality need attention for a truly great experience.
We eat here most weeks either for breakfast or lunch (sometimes both!! and I can honestly say you will hard pushed to find better. The staff are fantastic, friendly, efficient and nothing is too much bother for them. If asked they will adapt the meals to your preference without any complaints. The fish and chips is still the best in Clacton, fish is juicy with lovely crispy batter and no grease, chips are the same. I can not praise the staff or cafe highly enough.
What has happened to the Tesco Breakfast . They should pay me to eat this .certainly not the other way round . The chef needs retraining in how to cook . We have a standard breakfast of greasy fried bread and I mean greasy , an egg with the white that isn’t cooked and is all slimy like a jellyfish , hash browns that are just fat ball like wedges , a limp , just cooked more fat than bacon , rasher , a sausage that could of walking away on its own and baked beans . Oh and for drinks we have coffee served in Olympic sized cups with the smallest of handles to support it to your mouth . If you shop at Tesco then avoid the cafe . Fingers crossed Morrisons bring back their restaurant as this was amazing , as I am not returning here . There’s plenty of better cafes to eat in locally than this excuse for one . Horrible.
We had a lovely breakfast here with a nice coffee, for what you pay, which is a very cheap £4.95 for a breakfast the quality is good. You might not be blown away by the food but for the price it’s a nice meal.
