Description

Nestled by the seaside, this cafe offers a mixed bag of experiences. While the staff's warm demeanor has garnered praise, the menu has left patrons longing for quality. Complaints of overpriced, subpar meals—often reminiscent of frozen supermarket fare—overshadow the friendly service. Further discontent arose from limited operating hours and unresponsive customer support on product returns. Yet, amid the criticisms, some guests have celebrated its charm, raving about the exceptional fish and chips and the delightful ambiance. For those seeking a beachside experience, the café remains a topic of divided opinions.

I visited the restaurant on a Sunday in July, arriving at 12:30pm looking for some food and drinks, only to be informed that they were closing and had already cleaned up, so they couldn't serve us. It's their decision when to close, but 12:30pm on a summer day seems a bit early.

I am sorry to only give one star as the staff running the restaurant are very welcoming and friendly. However, the food is extremely disappointing and overpriced. We ordered two kids meals (chicken nuggets/sausage with chips), a chicken burger, onion rings, and a battered sausage with chips. While I don't expect gourmet food from a beach-front café shack, I do expect it to be edible. The chicken was processed and tasted frozen, similar to what you would find at a supermarket like Iceland. The sausages and onion rings were greasy, and the chips were bland and low quality. We also ordered three soft drinks, and the total bill came to almost £30, which is absurd considering the poor quality of the food. We ended up not being able to eat most of it and left the rest on the beach, leaving us with two hungry kids and a feeling of disappointment. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant at all costs.

I highly recommend this hidden gem of a cafe overlooking Walton Beach. The fish and chips are cooked to perfection and the portions are generous. The staff is friendly and attentive. We will definitely be returning.

The Customer Service is absolutely terrible. My 11 year old son bought a body board with his pocket money for £12.99 and it broke after using it 2 x times in the sea. He took it back and asked for a refund and they refused saying they only did 'same day refunds ' and said they didn 't care that it had broken. I 'd go into the town to buy anything that you need as the people are much friendlier!!!
