What User doesn't like about Preston's:
I had booked a table for four on a Friday evening to have friends over for the weekend. The food was absolutely disgustingly over cooked for 3 of the starters, with so much chili powder on it we could not eat it. The main course...jerk chicken with sweet potato's was again so over cooked it could have been sitting on a hot plate for 3 days prior to our arrival. The Creme Brule looked like it was served in an ash tray... View all feedback.

Since the takeover of Kingscliff, this restaurant has seen a great improvement. We have visited several times and have been more than satisfied each time. The restaurant offers options for those with allergies, such as gluten-free items on the menu. The food is well-cooked and presented, the service is good, and the prices are fair. In addition to the main menu, there are also specialty dishes like curry and beer for under ten pounds. The curry is excellent, the beer is good, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
We visited this restaurant a few months ago for lunch and we waited 55 minutes for 4 club sandwiches. The last sandwich didn't arrive until 10 minutes after the first one. We recently visited again and unfortunately, the food quality has not improved. This time, after waiting 45 minutes, the chicken nuggets and chips we ordered were served as a chicken breast and chips, which was overly salty. When we asked for nuggets, they simply fried a chicken breast and tore it up. The burger was overpriced and soggy, and my partner found a hair in her sandwich. I only gave a 2 rating because the staff was very apologetic and offered to reimburse us for one meal. This is a constructive review, as we live nearby and the location of King's Cliff is excellent. However, the food quality and service need improvement. I feel that eating at this place is a disappointment.
Had family from overseas stay in the hotel so decided to dine in restaurant. quiet for a Saturday night, but then it was initially januar. excellent meal with cheap weeping. very good service.

The main course...jerk chicken with sweet potato's was again so over cooked it could have been sitting on a hot plate for 3 days prior to our arrival. The Creme Brule looked like it was served in an ash tray it was so shallow and dried up. WE WILL NOT BE VISITING THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN...............EVER! We were told by our waiter that The chef was under pressure that night.............the place was half empty?? We never paid the full amount requested by the waiter, we did however leave the waiter a tip it was not his fault the food was SO bad).
