Boardwalk Grill - Tendring

This morning along the coast, at the pier where we thought we were standing in the boardwalk for a nice cup of coffee. it was completely empty inside without personal, so guessed it wasn't open. the disabled visited the facilities on the way out and was absolutely disgusting with the condition of them. when the door opens, the stinks before you even jumped in the foot. the wood floor is completely softened and could certainly help to smell the canal odor; the emergency light hardly hangs and the walls are peeling over the square. as expected that someone will use the toilet or worse still change a baby there is beyond me! I didn't want to touch anything on all IT’S horrendous! my man said the men's toilets were just as bad! we went to a walk on the pier, saw all the signs say that the pier now open weeks of the year, which is brilliant. it is nice to see so many people with the pier in the colder months, but when we went to the end of the pier to try the public toilets they were closed.

Visited here most days during our vacation as we had a dog and sat outside. Saturday afternoon had a band where good. personal where it was necessary, as the bar warte was sometimes massive. good choice of drinks to competitive trips. one.

Never been served a more disgusting meal chips had more eyes than spec savers loads of skin on them, fish was solid actually snapped the outer off to leave the tiniest bit of fish inside. Went into complain the young girl had to call for...someone else, who said what’s the problem tried explaining but she said it states crispy cod ok that’s fine it might say that but this is rock solid snap your teeth cod even your wooden knives and forks snapped. Asked for refund she did she get a manager out to our table, waited over half hour no one came. We decided to leave waited ages for food to service all round terrible.

Visited Clacton pier with my family and all I can say is I was Disgusted with customer service from a member of the bar staff he was very rude we only wanted to order drinks and a bit of food and needed help with ordering...from the tables as he refused to serve from the bar even when it wasn’t busy, someone really needs to teach Shane some people skills and manners because We was made to feel not welcome, apart from our rude welcoming at board walk in the end we decided to stay the food and drinks were great I can’t fault them at all we also got an apology from a male member of staff wasn’t wearing a name badge but was wearing black board walk uniform he came across very understandable and polite and wanted to apologise for the way we was treated he told us he would pass on the incident to management we just hope next time we visit things will be different because it was the staffs attitude that spoiled it.

Every year me and my wife come on a holiday to Clacton on sea and we always pop in to this amazing place. The staff make you feel so welcoming and from what I’ve seen work extraordinarily hard always service with a smile polite and...well mannered and ensure you are having a great time, the food and drinks are made with great care to the point I feel like who ever the chef is cooks from the heart always made quick, fresh and perfectly presented on the plate. It’s a balance between having well made food and not being overcooked. I would like to Thank you all for making us feel very welcome and thank you for all that you do. Your such Amazing hard working people, we wish them all the best and success in future We hope to see you all again soon.
