Green's Sausage House - Temple

Best sausage house in Texas! Love the sausage kolaches, cheese kolaches, ham and cheese kolaches...just order any kind of kolaches and you won't be disappointed. They also have great breakfast sausage links. They make some of the best red wax cheddar cheese. The beef fajitas are amazing. If I lived closer I would be there 2-3 times a week. Hands down one of my favorite places to visit in Texas.

Incredible choices and selections of different e local Texas grown n raised and jarred goods. My new favorite local grocery and cafe. The amazing chicken fried steak will fill your gut w a meal mother would envy. Great girls working here w great smiles! Buy a tshirt. They fit great.

BEST PHILLY CHEESESTEAK EVER! The diner is excellent, and the smokehouse is amazing. Don't expect fine dining, but you can look forward to delicious food and a charming small-town vibe. The prices are reasonable, and the meals are fantastic. The boudin balls are also outstanding!

Let me be clear, I know my review won 't stop folks from coming to the beloved Greens. Especially in the climate we live in today. Noone stands up for others ...many don 't even respect themselves. Anywho, here 's my experience today. I had a guest from out of town so I decided to bring him to Greens to have some good food. Yes, it 's good! Unfortunately he stood at the counter and the woman rudely said just a minute when he got her attention. Let me say, they were busy. They always are...BUT a minute later he stepped back (he is a black man) a white man stepped up to the counter and was serviced immediately.... well he tried one more time and the same thing happened. The lady, a waitress I guess, rudely said just a minute. Well seeing that she had time to help her kind I directed my guest to the door. I am a white woman myself. I can clearly see who is welcomed and who is not. Furthermore I see that there are other reviews implying the same. It won 't matter to many and won 't impact this beloved business but I won 't be driving 20 minutes again to patronize this business. I won 't recommend it to anyone any further. I am very disappointed that in 2024 human beings are treated this way. 2 stars because this was employee as far as I know and the food is still good. Would give more but if the employee feels this comfortable treating ppl of color this way on many occasions I 'm going to assume the business owners are okay with it. 2 stars is giving the benefit of the doubt and not leaving just 1 star.

Absolutely amazing breakfast and the cinnamon roll was exceptional! If you're in Temple, this place is a must-visit for breakfast. It’s always a treat to enjoy a meal with the locals!
