Smile Thai Cuisine - Tempe

I was really disappointed with the curry I ordered. I typically go for red curry when I try a new Thai restaurant, but this one didn't meet my expectations at all. It was overly sweet and lacked any real spice, making it quite bland overall. We also tried the spicy noodles, which, while they didn't have much heat either, did have some flavor. They were better than the curry, but still something you could easily find at any other Thai place. Perhaps it was just an off night for them. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

This is one the best Thai places. Also a restaurant owner myself, I can gladly say this family is doing it right! Super proud of their son giving good love and respect to all guests. Best of luck to you all for the many years to come!!

We tried this place for dinner one night. A small restaurant in a strip mall. We were greeted right away and seated. The server got our drink order. We ordered the Fresh Rolls as appetizer and very tasty. I ordered the Spicy Fried Rice with Chicken and my partner ordered the Panang Curry with Chicken. Both dishes were very delicious. The service was fantastic. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. Cannot wait to return.

This used to be a fantastic place to eat, but it has really declined recently. Prices have gone up while the quality of the food has gone down. The portions are still generous, but I had some issues with my order. I specifically requested chili and utensils (I know, that's my fault for not double-checking since they've always provided them in the past), but now I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere for work, eating my meal with my hands—no sauce to go with it. I asked for a heat level of 5, but they only gave me a 1. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. I hope they can improve, but I doubt it, as my purchase is probably just a small drop in the bucket. So it seems they may not really care.

Disappointing curry. Sweet, no spice and pretty bland. Red Curry. Would not recommend.
