Serrano's Mexican Food Restaurants

My companion and I split the appetizer platter. It came with chicken and cheese rollups, some beef taquitos, jalapeño poppers and mini chimis. Also included was guacamole and sour cream. The best items on the plate were the mini chimis and the chicken and cheese rollups. They all pretty much tasted like they could've come out of a box, but those were the best two. The chips and salsa and bean dip were better in my opinion. I must say, that is the chunkiest salsa I've ever seen. It was flavorful and delish and so was the bean dip. I'd like to come back and try an actual entree so I can have a better feel for the place. We sat in a booth and I felt squished like the table was too big for the booth. Oh well, next time I will get seated at a table and chairs. The restaurant was clean and service was good.

We love this place. Both of us had the taco salad with ground beef and we both agreed it was one of the best taco salads ever. We also love that when you sit down you are not only given salsa for your chips but also a bean dip. Service was great and we will certainly return.

Overall, the Mexican/American food was of good quality. I ordered curbside pickup due to Covid. We arrived right on time, but unfortunately, the food was already cold by the time we got home just five minutes later, which was disappointing. Everything was a bit too salty, but I still found it enjoyable—especially since I ordered the Pollo Fundido, which tends to be on the salty side anyway. I would definitely return to try other menu items. The beans and rice were delicious, which is a big plus for me since they can often be bland at other places. I appreciated the addition of hot and mild salsa along with bean dip and complimentary chips, but I do wish they had included an extra bag of chips to go with that large bowl of fundido. I’ll be snacking on it for the next few days, so I’ll need to pick up more chips!

We visited with a large group of about 14, including both adults and children. We were seated promptly and felt very comfortable in our area without being cramped or crowded by other diners. Our server was absolutely amazing—she was attentive, humorous, and kept the chips coming even before we placed our orders. She was on top of everything, ensuring that all our requests were met perfectly the first time. Being part of a large group, we've often encountered mix-ups with our orders at other restaurants, but that wasn’t the case here. The service was fantastic! The food was delicious, too! Everything was wonderfully flavorful, and the portion sizes were quite generous. We had already filled up on chips before our main courses even arrived, and we ended up taking enough leftovers home for a hearty snack and lunch the next day. Overall, the experience was fantastic, especially considering the size of our group. We were seated quickly and comfortably, and our server was incredibly attentive, patient, and on point with our order. The food was not only tasty but also came out quickly. Serranos definitely exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it!

I came to try out their Sept week Centennial celebration. Each day having different items for 1.00. We had the buck tacos . Choice of street or crispy tacos filled with carna asada, macheca(shredded beef), pork, seasoned ground beef, or shredded chicken. The limit was 3 per person. At first, I thought street tacos would not fill me up but was I wrong. The tacos were brimming over the shell with filling and so delicious. I was completely satisfied along with their addicting light crispy chips with hot bean dip and salsa. They usually run daily specials for under $10 as well. I plan on going back to try out more entrees. I guess 100 years later they must be doing it right.
